Profile

Charles was called to the Hong Kong Bar in 2015 and commenced full practice after completing his pupillage with Mr. Valentine Yim, Ms. Jennifer Tsui, Mr. C.Y. Li S.C., and Mr. Tony C.Y. Li (now Mr. Tony C.Y. Li S.C.). He possesses a broad criminal and general civil practice.

Charles works across all areas of criminal and market regulatory law. He has appeared independently or as junior counsel in all levels of court and has extensive experience assisting clients during investigations by law enforcement agencies. His civil practice encompasses matrimonial matters, contractual disputes, landlord and tenant disputes, land law, probate, and administration.

Charles has also worked within the judiciary, serving as a deputy magistrate in 2022 and 2023, where he addressed all areas of criminal and regulatory cases on a daily basis.

Charles is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Putonghua.
